EC: 73% of Europeans know of at least one data subject right under GDPR
The European Commission published the results of a Eurobarometer survey on data protection ahead of an event to mark the first year of the EU General Data Protection Regulation. Of the 27,000 Europeans polled, 73% said they knew of at least one of the six data subject rights granted under the GDPR. European citizens were most aware of the right to access their own data, which came in at 65%, followed by the right to correct data at 61%. Other findings include 67% of participants who said they know of the GDPR, and 57% who know about their national data protection authorities.
